NORBERT HACKL, PLS
PRESIDENT & SENIOR LAND SURVEYOR
Norbert Hackl is the President and Founding Principal at Alpine Surveying & Engineering. He is from Vienna, Austria and has lived in Bozeman since 1992. He graduated from Hoehere Technische Lehranstalt, a technical school for civil engineering in Vienna. He then received a First Diploma in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Agriculture and Rural Engineering in Vienna. He later attended Montana State University and completed 21 semester hours in advanced land surveying and civil engineering courses to receive formal education in these disciplines in the United States.
Norbert has over 25 years of land surveying experience and has been a business owner since 2002. He obtained his license as a Professional Land Surveyor in Montana in 2001. He has been a member of the Montana Association of Registered Land Surveyors (MARLS) since 1997 and was President of the South Central Chapter from 2019 to 2023. He has been a member of the National Society of Professional Surveyors since 2006.
Norbert is currently Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the Fort Ellis Volunteer Fire Department and has been on the Board since 2010. Norbert has been a member of the Gallatin County Planning and Zoning Commission since 2020.

MORGAN BILLS, PLS
VICE PRESIDENT & SENIOR LAND SURVEYOR
Morgan Bills is the Vice President and a Land Surveyor at Alpine Surveying & Engineering, and has been a member of the team since 2015. He is from Vermont and has lived in Bozeman since 2007. He graduated from Montana State University with a B.S. in Construction Engineering Technology with a minor in Land Surveying. He has a broad range of land surveying experience, is proficient with Auto CAD Civil 3D and Carlson Survey, and has also worked in construction management.
Morgan has been a member of the Montana Association of Registered Land Surveyors since 2015.

CLINT LITLE, PE
CIVIL ENGINEER & PROJECT MANAGER
Clint Litle is a Senior Civil Engineer and Project Manager at Alpine Surveying & Engineering. Clint is a 4th generation Bozeman native and graduated from Montana State University with a B.S. in Construction Engineering.
Clint has over 30 years of civil engineering experience including many years in office manager positions. He specializes in commercial, light industrial and residential site development He obtained his Professional Engineering license in 1991 and is currently licensed in Montana, North Dakota and Washington State. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and is a member of the Montana State University Civil Engineering Accreditation Board.

EVAN VINGER, EIT
CIVIL ENGINEER IN TRAINING
Evan Vinger is a Civil Engineer in Training at Alpine Surveying & Engineering. He is a 3rd generation Bozeman native and graduated from Montana State University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.
Evan has more than 10 years of experience in installation of on-site wastewater and water treatment facilities, along with over 3 years of general site and wastewater system design with Vinger Excavation and Septic. He also has experience in the construction industry where he learned insights in construction process and installation. Evan is proficient using Carlson Civil Suite. Evan will be working toward obtaining a PE license in Montana

EVAN LEWIS
SURVEY CREW CHIEF
Evan Lewis is a Survey Crew Chief at Alpine Surveying & Engineering.
Evan has been working on a survey field crew since 2018. He started his survey career in Utah before moving to Bozeman 2021. He has a wide range of experience in operating both GPS and conventional survey equipment on a variety of project types ranging form construction surveys to boundary retracements and subdivisions. Evan currently holds a FAA drone pilot license and is performing field data collection with our survey drone.
Evan is working toward obtaining his Land Surveying license in Montana.

MICHAEL DEEN
SURVEY CREW CHIEF
Michael Deen is a Survey Crew Chief at Alpine Surveying & Engineering. He has lived in Montana since 2000 and graduated from Montana State University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.
Michael has 10 years of experience in the Surveying and Engineering fields. Before joining the Alpine team, he worked at Sibanye Stillwater Mining Company as a Lead Surveyor with a primary focus on underground tunneling. Prior to Sibanye Stillwater, he worked at the Montana Department of Transportation as a Civil Engineer Specialist managing and analyzing road conditions across Montana.
Michael is working toward obtaining his Land Surveying license in Montana.

GEORGE LONGWORTH
CAD TECHNICIAN
George Longworth is a Civil Drafter at Alpine Surveying & Engineering. He is also a valuable member of the survey field crew. George relocated to Bozeman from Florida in 2020.
George gained experience in Florida as a Civil CAD Technician as well as working on a survey field crew.
George is proficient using Carlson Civil Suite. He is also skilled using various types of survey equipment.
